Ed Littleton

Ed Littleton was Saguaro’s first baseball coach, and served for 20 years from 1965-1985.  Coach Littleton sent dozens of players to the college ranks and had numerous players drafted into professional baseball.  He was also a teacher and assistant football coach during his time at Saguaro.  Ed attended ASU where he lettered three times for the legendary coach Bobby Winkles.  An outfielder during his stay with the Devils, he holds a record that will remain in the Sun Devil history books forever – he recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the 1961 season
while being a starter all season

Bill Berger

Bill Berger was head baseball coach at Saguaro for only 10 years but they were exceptional years.  He led the Sabercats to their first State Championship in 1992, leading an underdog team to many unlikely comeback victories and the ultimate prize in high school baseball.  Coach Berger graduated from Coronado High School in 1969 and attended ASU where he was coached by the legendary Bobby Winkles from 1970-71 and by the late Jim Brock in 1973.  Coach Berger was a high school All-American in 1969 and is a member of the Scottsdale High School Hall of Fame.
