Thank you to all the players who came out and donated their time.

Arizona Science Centers All-Star Science Sports Camp

Varsity players Travis Steinheiser, Woody Johnston, Brandon Allen, and Shane Stansbury volunteered their time to present science and baseball to kids attending the All-Star Science Sports Camp on July 12, 2011. Our players did a fantastic job and were a hit with the kids. Thank you for representing Saguaro Baseball at its best.

Below is an email to Coach Dyer from the director of the All=Star Science Camp congratulating them on their presentation.

Ryan,

I would like to start by thanking Woody, Travis, Shane and Brandon for an amazing presentation. The team was a major hit with the camp kids and they hadn’t stopped talking about the guest appearance as they were walking out the door heading home. Thank you for setting this presentation together as it was an inspiring moment for these 15 campers which they will always remember. Once the camp season has concluded I will be putting together a package of free admission tickets together and will send them to you and the team. Thank you again and hope to see the team back for camp next year.

On Saturday, April 24th, 2010, Varsity players gave back to the community by volunteering their time in Serve-a-thon-Schools, a project managed by Hands On Greater Phoenix. It was a day of volunteer service to revitalize under-resourced public schools across the Valley. Prudential is a Corporate Sponsor of the event.
